Jacob A. Lafo, Ph.D.
Clinical Neuropsychologist
Dr. Jacob Lafo achieved his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology (Neuropsychology Track) from the University of Florida and completed his internship and two-year postdoctoral fellowship at Brown University, with specialization in Neuropsychology. He has clinical expertise in late adolescent, adult, and geriatric neuropsychological assessment, with keen interests in neurodegenerative disorders (e.g., Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease), stroke and cerebrovascular disease, and neuropsychiatric conditions. Dr. Lafo's research portfolio is broad and includes publications on cognitive and emotional features of movement disorders, cognitive predictors of advanced prosthesis use, and adverse clinical outcomes in heart failure associated with cognitive impairment. He holds a research appointment at the Providence VA Medical Center in the Center of Innovation for Vulnerable Veterans.
