Scheduling an Appointment for Pediatric Neuropsychological Evaluation
This brief post will address frequently asked questions regarding our scheduling process and payment options for our Comprehensive Pediatric Neuropsychological Evaluations at NPI.
Scheduling your child’s appointment
Our office staff is available via phone or encrypted email to expedite the scheduling process. You can email us at office@NPIRI.com and our office staff will send you an encrypted email with the information needed to schedule an appointment. If you prefer to call to schedule an appointment with one of our Pediatric Neuropsychologists, it is helpful to have a private place to discuss your concerns and to provide us with personal information (name, date of birth, address, insurance information, previous testing). Our evaluations are typically completed in one session, lasting 4-7 hours, depending on how much testing is necessary. At the end of that session, you will schedule a one-hour appointment (typically within 2-3 weeks) to receive feedback and to go over the results in a thorough manner.
We currently accept BCBS of RI, BCBS of MA PPO, Federal Employee BCBS, UnitedHealthcare Commercial Plans and Student Resources only. Medical insurance coverage and limitations vary considerably from one insurance company/policy to another. Our office staff specializes in Neuropsychological billing and coding with over a decade of experience. If an insurance referral and/or pre-authorization is necessary, we will work with you to obtain that prior to scheduling the appointment. The medical insurance industry is complex and ever changing. As such, we pride ourselves on avoiding any unexpected cost to patients and their families. All patient costs are detailed before the evaluation begins.
We look forward to working with you and your child!
